Research Computing Services Provided

EAS Computing provides a large array of services for research computing.  In addition to our Academic Services, we provide:

• Custom built servers/workstations
• RedHat Linux installation
• Administration of research computers
• Configuration of DNS, NIS, NFS, MPI, etc
• Custom software builds and loads
• Custom built storage systems
• Maintenance of computing equipment
• Upgrades of computing equipment
• Systems monitoring

EAS Computing maintains the ES&T L1235 computer room for EAS.  This facility houses research computers for EAS and provides the basic infrastructure of:

• 1GbE and 10Gbe networking
• Rack space for servers
• Power
• Cooling

Current space availability for EAS Faculty is for workgroup servers and storage systems.  Any large scale computing is merged with our Atlas computer system, which is housed in the Rich Computing Center.
